In just 5 minutes, "Woven Together" illustrates the beauty that can arise from tragedy and seeks to inspire a life filled with purpose.
In December 2004, a massive tsunami claimed the life of internationally acclaimed photographer Fernando Bengoechea while he was vacationing in Sri Lanka with his partner, Nate Berkus. Despite this profound loss, Fernando's brother, Marcelo, is determined to keep his artistic legacy alive through the Woven Photography his brother pioneered.
Each Woven Photograph represents a poignant collaboration between the two brothers—one in Heaven and one on Earth.
The film was shot on the same beach in Sri Lanka where Fernando was swept away, never to return. Marcelo visits Arugam Bay for the first time in 19 years, seeking closure with the understanding that we are all woven together through love and art.
